Itinerary

Day 1: New Delhi/Kolkata – Bagdogra – Darjeeling
Upon arrival in Bagdogra you will drive to Darjeeling, arriving in the evening. Overnight stay in the hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 2: Darjeeling
Very early in the morning you will drive to Tiger Hill (around 11 km) to enjoy the sunrise. Tiger Hill (2590 m) is the highest point in this area. There is a breathtaking view of the sunrise on the Kanchenjunga mountain. After, visit the Yiga Choling monastery, built in 1850. It has a 14 feet high Maitriya Buddha statue. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, visit the Institute of Mountaineering where you can get detailed information about the natural surroundings and the habitats of this area.

Day 3: Darjeeling
After breakfast drive to the Mungpu Forest area to enjoy bird watching. In the evening return back to the hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 4: Darjeeling – Pemayangtse
After breakfast leave the state of West Bengal and drive through the forests and tea gardens to Pemayangtse (The Perfect Sublime Lotus) in Sikkim.  In the afternoon visit Pemayangtse.

Day 5: Pemayangtse – Gangtok
After breakfast visit the surrounding area of Pemayangtse and later drive from Pemayangtse to Gangtok.

Day 6: Gangtok
A full day sightseeing in Gangtok. Visit the Rumtek Monastery, Tibetology Institute, Enchey Monastery and Bazaar.

Day 7: Gangtok – Kalimpong
After breakfast drive from Gangtok to Kalimpong. Afternoon visit to Kalimpong. Overnight at Kalimpong.

Day 8: Kalimpong – Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary
After breakfast drive from Kalimpong to visit the Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary. Overnight at Resort at Jaldapara Sanctuary.

Day 9: Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary
Morning and afternoon game drives to the Sanctuary. Meals and overnight at Resort.

Day 10: Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary – Bagdogra – Guwahati (by air) – Kaziranga
Early morning after breakfast, drive from Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary to Bagdogra airport to catch the flight to Guwahati. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and proceed on to Kaziranga National Park. View the forest-covered hills, small villages, low-lying fields with stands of coconut palms and tea estates before you reach the Resort at Kaziranga National Park in the evening.

Day 11: Kaziranga
Morning and afternoon game drives to the Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga was declared a game sanctuary in 1908, to save the Indian one-horned rhino. It covers an area of 430 square km. Wild Buffalo, Bison, Sambar, Swamp Deer, Hog Deer, Wild Pig, Hoolock Gibbon, Elephants and Tiger can also be seen. Meals and overnight at Resort.

Day 12: Kaziranga
Morning and afternoon game drives to the National Park. Meals and overnight at Resort.

Day 13: Kaziranga – Manas Wildlife Sanctuary
After breakfast drive from Kaziranga to the Manas Wildlife Sanctuary. Lunch and afternoon game drive to the Manas Wildlife Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Resort at Manas.

Day 14: In Manas Wildlife Sanctuary
Morning and afternoon visits to the Manas Wildlife Sanctuary. Meals and overnight at Resort at Manas.

Day 15:  Manas Wildlife Sanctuary – Guwahati – New Delhi/Kolkata
Morning visit to the Sanctuary and later drive to Guwahati (170 km) to board a flight to New Delhi/Kolkata to connect to an onward flight.
